Vulnerable

Have you found yourself in a vulnerable situation? Perhaps you have been made feel vulnerable? Do you feel exposed, or naked? Do you have a safe place or person to run to? Do you run to God for safety, shelter & rest?

There are certainly times that I have felt exposed. It is never a good feeling. For some of us, it’s crippling!

I have felt so unsure of myself at times, that I can’t seem to make sense of me. I run to God in that vulnerability, bearing all. I am metaphorically naked. A feeling where I want to grab the deepest, raw parts of myself and throw them at God to sort out.

A trip to Europe in 2019 gave me the opportunity to see the Statue of David. It gave me a new insight and understanding of ‘naked.’ There was beauty in that vulnerability. Every angle of the statue told a different story of David facing Goliath. I can imagine he came to God bearing all.

If you are feeling vulnerable and naked, I encourage you to take yourself to God. He is always safe and will guide you into the healthiest version of yourself for His glory and your peace of mind.
